Come and see our descriptive writing about our favourite wild animals.

by Lilian

Come and read our poems and see our fabulous garden paintings.

Bee-lieve It or Not

As part of our Rich Task on Bees we were very lucky to have
a beekeeper visit us and give us lots of information about honeybees and gathering the honey.

Junior Playground

The little yellow digger came to Winchester school!
It was interesting to watch the digger working. It was
creating the base for our new junior playground.
There was so much excitement when the new playground
equipment arrived. Our very own junior playground!

Winchester Wearable Arts - WWA

Ruby created a beautiful skirt to wear in the WWA.
It looked colourful on the runway.

Lilian created a skirt, top and hat to wear on the runway.
It had lots of interesting embellishments.

Well done you two for taking part!

Cultural Shared Lunch

Room 7 hosted their whanau for a
shared lunch to celebrate food from
our different cultures.

We served our manuhiri first and shared
our lunch with them at our tables. It was
delicious and exciting to try new foods.

The children created placemats that
reflected their own ethnicity. Thank you

to all the whanau who joined us.

Reading Cafe

As part of book week we held a reading cafe at the Winchester School Library.  Parents were invited to come and read books with the children. We made some kai for our guests and the children served the adults first. It was a lovely cosy time.
